Ariel Gail

Prof. Gail S. Goodman teaches psychology at the University of California Davis. She is also the director of the Center for Public Policy Research. She is widely known for her pioneering modern research of children's memory as eyewitnesses and also the application of child victimization in court. Prof. Goodman has published numerous papers as well as received numerous grants. She has also has been awarded numerous national and international distinctions. She has consulted with numerous government agencies and governments across the world regarding policies and studies on child victims in the legal system. She currently serves as consultant to the Special Assault Forensic Evaluation Center at Sacramento County Child Protective Services (formerly Multidisciplinary Interview Center). She is a part of numerous professional associations which include the Association for Psychological Science and American Psychological Association. Professor Goodman is also a member of Psychonomics Society, American Professional Society for the Abuse of Children and International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies. She has been president of American Psychological Association's Developmental Psychology Division as well as three divisions of the Child and Family Practice and Policy Division American Psychology Law Society and Division Developmental Psychology.
